By downloading, accessing, or using Dot ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Dot is a birthday reminder application that allows you to store birthdays of your friends and family, optionally attach photos, set reminder preferences, and receive push notifications before upcoming birthdays.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Accounts & Authentication

• You may sign in using Google or Apple authentication. We do not offer email/password registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your authentication method.
• You must provide accurate information during the account creation process.

4. User Content

• You retain all ownership rights to the birthday data and photos you enter into the App.
• You represent that you have the right to store and share the information you enter, including any photos of other individuals.
• You agree not to upload inappropriate, abusive, or illegal content.
• We may remove any content that violates these terms.

5. Premium Features & Payments

• The App may offer premium features through in-app subscriptions.
• Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not by Dot directly.
• Subscription terms, including pricing and renewal, are governed by the respective app store's terms.
• Refund requests are handled by the app store through which the purchase was made.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by Dot and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our explicit permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to missed birthdays due to notification delivery failures, data loss, or service interruptions.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time within the App settings, which will remove all associated data.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email.
